The Türk Hukuku desktop app brings the Turkish law skills and a live connection to official sources into one window. It works with your own AI key: Claude, OpenAI (the models behind ChatGPT) or Gemini. It reads statutes from mevzuat.gov.tr and decisions from UYAP Emsal, the Council of State and the Constitutional Court, and every citation comes with a source link you can click to check it.
An experimental setup. The app is at an early stage: expect bugs, and some features are still missing (automatic updates, for example: download new versions from this page). Check every output against the statute in force and the decision itself. Feedback and bug reports are very welcome: aydin [at] aicp.agency
New in this version: attaching documents (PDF, Word, text and images, by drag and drop or the paperclip), an estimated monthly spending limit ($20 by default) and a confirmation before an expensive question continues.
Not sure which Mac you have? Apple menu › About This Mac. If the "Chip" line says Apple M, download the Apple silicon version; if the "Processor" line says Intel, download the Intel version.
Requirements: macOS 13 (Ventura) or later; Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit); an internet connection; an API key from an AI provider.

The app starts in Turkish. To switch, open Settings at the top right › General › Language › English. You can do this during the welcome steps too; the interface and the in-app help then appear in English.
The legal skills are written in Turkish, and the statutes and decisions come from Turkish official sources. Ask in English and the answer will usually be in English, but expect Turkish legal terms and citations alongside it, so you can check them against the source.
Mac: open the .dmg file and drag "Turk Hukuku" into the Applications folder. The app is notarized by Apple and opens without a warning.
Windows: run the installer. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Choose More info › Run anyway to continue.
The app walks you through four steps: introduction, AI key, areas of law and official sources. The official-source connection is set up once, on first launch (1 to 3 minutes); after that it starts by itself every time.
The app explains step by step how to get an API key. A ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro subscription does not include an API key; API use is billed separately, pay as you go. It's best to set a monthly spending limit on the provider's page and keep automatic top-ups off. The app also stops sending new questions at an estimated $20 a month by default, and asks before continuing when a single question passes about $1; you can change both in Settings › Spending.
Drag a document (a formal notice, a contract, a petition) into the chat or attach it with the paperclip; sending a document on its own works too. Example questions are suggested for the areas of law you chose. Open the statute and decision citations in the answer through their source links and check them.
Your key is stored on this computer, in the operating system's encrypted storage. Your questions and documents go only to the AI company you chose; statute and case law searches go only to the official sites. On first setup, the packages the official-source connection needs are downloaded from pypi.org. The app has no server of its own and collects no usage data. "Report a bug" and "Suggest a feature" only open a draft in your email app; emails you send are used only to reply to you and are never shared.
For work involving client information, use a paid API tier; Gemini's free tier is not suitable for it. Details (in Turkish): Privacy.
Moving the app to the Trash on a Mac, or uninstalling it on Windows, removes only the program. Your saved API key (encrypted), your chats and your settings stay on your computer and come back when you reinstall the app.
In the app, open Settings › Models and keys and press Remove next to the provider. The key is deleted from this computer. It's best to do this before uninstalling.
Quit the app. In Finder, choose Go › Go to Folder, open
~/Library/Application Support/Türk Hukuku and delete that folder. Then delete the
"Türk Hukuku Safe Storage" entry in Keychain Access.
Uninstall the app from Settings › Apps. Then type
%APPDATA%\Türk Hukuku into the File Explorer address bar and delete that folder.
Deleting the folder also deletes your chat history permanently; this cannot be undone.
This app is an experimental setup. I want to hear what works and what is missing or wrong: for bug reports, suggestions or collaboration, write to aydin [at] aicp.agency. When reporting a bug, just say which computer you use and what you did.
Not legal advice. Outputs must be checked against the legislation in force and verified case law.
